In Chinese Medicine it’s the element of Water, the backbody, full rest, and the archetype of philosopher. In Winter we hibernate – or at least we crave to. Hibernation is a dormant state in which everything comes to a halt in order to prepare for the new cycle ahead. The modern world requires us to keep going to meet end-of-the-year deadlines. That’s where our practice steps in to create much needed balance.
Take a Sunday afternoon just for yourself to float in sounds and find deep relaxation. Giving your nervous system the rest it craves.

What will happen
Arrive in the cozy setting of the Sagayoga studio in Töölö where everything is prepared for you. Soft mats, bolsters, pillows, blankets, blocks, eye pillows will make sure you have the most comfortable of journeys inwards. After a guided soft landing your mind is allowed to slow, while the breath deepens, and the body softens. Dive fully into a soothing soundbath that calms your nervous system and nourishes your Water energy. Step out of it balanced, a bit more connected and well rested.
Soundbath
A Soundbath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to nurture your mind and body. Lay down, listen & relax. My set of instruments currently consists of 7 crystal bowls, 3 ching bowls, 3 Peter Hess bowls, 1 crystal chime, 5 wind chimes for the 5 elements, 1 Kenari seed chime, 1 rain maker, and 1 tongue drum. All the yoga props needed to make yourself as comfortable as possible will be provided. Read more about what a sound bath is here >

About the hostess: Chiara is a certified yoga teacher who has been holding space at Sagayoga since 2021 after she moved from Frankfurt to Helsinki in 2020. The five elements of Chinese Medicine, tantric philosophy, somatic movement, and inclusive anatomy were big parts of her training. Chiara’s classes are welcoming, with a sprinkle of magic, and give space for your unique way of moving. She finished her sound facilitator training in 2024 after years of using sounds for her own practice. With sounds she finds a deep state of relaxation, integration and connection that she didn’t find with any other practice yet.
What to expect? The beautiful Sagayoga studio in Töölö will welcome you with a ready set-up so you can directly lay onto your mat to relax. ALL the soft props you could dream of – soft mats, pillows, bolsters, eye pillows, blocks, straps to make you comfy.
